Out of the North the wild news came,
Far flashing on its wings of flame,
Swift as the boreal light which flies
At midnight through the startled skies.
And there was tumult in the air,
The fife's shrill note, the drum's loud beat,
And through the land everywhere
The answering tread of hurrying feet;
While the first oath of Freedom's gun
Came on the blast from Lexington;
And Concord, roused, no longer tame,
Forgot her old baptismal name,
Made bare her patriot arm of power,
And swelled the discord of the hour.
Within its shade of elm and oak
The church of Berkely Manor stood;
There Sunday found the rural folk,
And some esteemed of gentle blood.
In vain their feet with loitering tread
Passed 'mid the graves where rank is naught;
All could not read the lesson taught
In that republic of the dead.
How sweet the hour of Sabbath talk,
The vale with peace and sunshine full
Where all the happy people walk,
Decked in their homespun flax and wool!
Where youth's gay hats with blossoms bloom;
And every maid with simple art,
Wears on her breast, like her own heart,
A bud whose depths are all perfume;
While every garment's gentle stir
Is breathing rose and lavender.
The pastor came; his snowy locks
Hallowed his brow of thought and care;
And calmly, as shepherds lead their flocks,

Dear Church Family (bcc around 22 families) and Friends,
Look at these names: Brunk, DeGraaf, Goico, and O'Hara. Do you recognize any of them.?
Below my rant is a list of the House members who voted for SB 177 today, which passed today in the House with amendments. Which means it will have to go back to the Senate for another vote. SB 177 is the brain child of the Republican Leadership (RINOs) in the house to pass a watered-down version of Governor Brownback’s tax plan. You can read SB 177 if you wish to right here on this link. You will find the names listed above as voting yes for SB 177.
Voting for SB 177 is a direct assault on HB2763. HB2763 is a Biblically-based, well-constructed consumption tax, which will give us Liberty Bell Liberty (Lev 25:10) starting January 1, 2014. HB2763 is designed to totally un-tax the working poor along with everybody else up to the poverty-level, and treats your neighbor with love whether he/she is working the second-shift building airplanes or he/she is the millionaire living next door. HB2763 breaks the link between your families budget and the state, making your family’s budget the states’ number one priority, and setting the stage for the elimination of the 65,000 plus pages of IRS tax code. HB2763 lets YOU decide how to apply a monthly pre-bate to the new products and services you consume, but SB 177 does not. HB2763 protects and defends the Christian Work Ethic and the actions of Christian Thrift.
